At the call of 3...2...1...Go! Teams will run around the designated cone. There is no requirement for teams to stay within a certain distance of each other, but all team members must pass around the cone before returning to pull the truck. The team may not begin pulling the truck until ALL MEMBERS of the team have returned and are contacting the ropes that are attached to the truck. The team will then pull the truck USING THE PROVIDED ROPES in whatever fashion is best for them. Athletes may not use any foreign objects or substances on their hands for this event. Team members will pull the truck 50 feet to the next mark on the ground where the truck will be signaled by the judge to stop. At that time, the team will complete the run around the cone again, with the same standards for starting to pull the truck enforced throughout the event. Each run will shorten by 100 feet until the team only runs 100 feet after their last truck pull. After the team has completed their last run, they will collectively push the truck 250 feet back to the starting line to finish the event. The clock stops when the forward most point of the forward truck tire is behind the original start line.
